Apparently The Magic Numbers walked out on Top of the Pops because Richard Bacon made derogatory comments about their weight.

To which I say... good on them. I heard an account before of how shortly before they started to film someone's performance, the TV director went across the front row and ruthlessly took out everyone who wasn't good looking enough. The sooner that piece of crap programme dies, the better.

Incidentally, I'm not overweight myself, in case anyone thinks that's the only reason I'm standing up for them...
