New Pornographers
The alternate title thread might be Britpop Lives....In Canada. But then we'd have to talk about other bands and in this instance, the New Pornographers deserve the spotlight. It's bittersweet power-pop that never falls overboard. Electric (something) I just found in the used bin is, in a word, brilliant. 8.5/10
But since I don't recall seeing this band bandied about here much, perhaps I should retreat and open up the thread to all comments good and bad on Britpop styled bands since its 90s heyday. I'm trying to raise my response averages here people!! Er, not really. :-)
