I'm sorry, I know there's always a billion Bright Eyes threads.

But after the latest one, it got me thinking. Am I seriously the only person who doesn't really rate this album? I'm not saying I don't think the melodies and lyrical content of the album aren't brilliant, but I just feel it's too simple and straightforward, almost too country. I own every album and nearly every EP he's made, so I'm not just saying this off the back of hearing two albums. But I just don't get it.
Lifted, Fevers and Mirrors, Every Day and Every Night, Digital Ash - all of these CDs just seem so much more varied and imaginative to me. I just get bored of I'm Wide Awake quite easily.
Am I alone in this?
