I downloaded the new Arcade Fire album, and it seems from all the constant raving about it that it's a victim of Morrissey syndrome - every time he releases an album, the critics wet themselves over how "groundbreaking" it is, and that Morrissey's "learned to love", "new sound" etc, when every album just sounds exactly the same as his last - from listening to Neon Bible, the only difference I can see between it and the first record is that it's pretty much devoid of any memorable hooks, yet all the critics are going wild for it.

Does anyone else not like it? I was distinctly underwhelmed.
