in my opinion, the winner of this dubious honour is 'Sandinista!' by the clash. 2 and a half hours and 36 tracks long, and attempting to cover every genre in the whole spectrum of music. and it seems to fail at almost every turn, chucking out unfinished ideas and plenty of rubbish songs.

i have much love for my other clash albums, and maybe if i listened to it more than a few times i could be more complimentary about it. but frankly, life is too short.

and to think, punk was supposed to have cleared away the excesses of prog, not take it a step further.

so anybody raise me anything more indulgent?
