Worth seeing or not?

Have only heard a few choons, and need something fun to do next Sat night when he's playing in Nottingham.

And would it be safe to take someone who... lets say... doesn't appreciate DiS type music as much as you or i? (ie. how far 'out there' is it? commercial acceptability?)
