Last night, played records back to back with my housemate... I would put on, say, 'The Letter' by Joe Cocker. He'd then pull out 'The Letter' by The Box Tops. It was one of 'those' nights where I'd be shown up the whole time by say, the original OR inspired versions of every single damned song I chose (lots of Bowie inspired moments - sigh)...

Also, did you know Kenny Rogers was in an act called First Edition? I listened to 'Just dropped in (to see what condition my condition was in)' several times last night (to the dismay of my house mate who only plays one track - once - in a sitting)...
