What would you like to see in a feature about music blogs?

dove_from_above [Edit] [Delete] 14:15, 6 February '07

I think I'm going to write a feature on music blogs for my uni magazine, and this seems like as good a place as any to do a little research

I'm going to try and speak to some bloggers (Summers - I'm coming for you) to gather their views on the role they play. Why do they do it? How do they see their role fitting into the music industry in the 2st century? How often do they get cease and desist notices? etc etc

Then, if possible, I want to try and speak to some labels (major and indie) to get their views on the role blogs can play and see how they differ depending on the label. Also, whether or not they feel (especially the majors) that they have been slow to utilise the influence blogs can have

Now I'm just thinking out loud, so I'll stop. Can anybody think of any other angles that they would like to see covered in a feature like this?
