Is one of my personal favourite albums of all time

chaotic, loud, brash, intelligent, frenzied

well thought out, whilst still sounding raw and improvisational

I've only heard 2 songs from their first album, and they're pretty funky, but the songs in Cough just blow those songs away, after adding saxophones, clarinets and acoustic bass to their sound, changing it from just post-hardcore punk into something which transcends jazz and moves into the avant garde sound of Impulse! records like John Coltrane, Albert Ayler and Yusef Lateef

I was just wondering if there are any bands like that around right now who play free jazz/hardcore stuff nowadays

i've heard about Zu, who i'll probably see on thursday with Joe Lally, but i can't seem to find any other bands who sound like this record
