Walter Schriefels/Rivals Schools/Walking Concert

jon_davies01 [Edit] [Delete] 16:56, 23 January '07

i've just finished listening to United by Fate, but what's always perplexed me is how walter seems to just write one incredible album then just start a new project

I'm guessing RS split up, as theig guitarist left them, then Walter went to form Walking Concert, which from what I've heard is the album is also absolute pop brilliance, but I checked their site the other day and nothing was updated, then i searched for walter schriefels news, and apparantly he's opening up for get cape wear cape fly.

i've only ehard war of the worlds acoustic, and i didn't like it one bit. I just think it's such a shame for Walter that now he's playing such low key spots at gigs now, he's a living legend, his bands, from gorilla biscuits, to quicksand, to RS have influenced loads of bands, if only he could just stick to one thing, i'm sure he'd really make it as a big artist. I don't really know how big quicksand were in their day since i wasn't aware of metal like that when i was the right age, but rival schools was probably his high point?

anyway, yeah, a rant about walter, he deserves more
