ATP vs. The Fans vs. Radiohead

TheoGB [Edit] [Delete] 15:39, 16 January '07

I just noticed this from the voting page:

"and do people honestly think RADIOHEAD will play...NO!!!! they will not - we cant fucking afford them!!"

Really? I can't work out whether they're just writing them off as too expensive or they've tried and been refused on the basis of cost.

Either way, this confuses me. Radiohead did that tent tour primarily because they hated doing arenas and I understood that it hadn't really been much (if any) of a profit-making exercise, and they'd been aware of that when setting it up.

And frankly, they don't need the money. I guess it doesn't seem like Radiohead to refuse on the basis of cost. On the basis of not liking ATP, the site, whatever, but cost just doesn't seem like it would/should matter to them? Unless they've changed a lot over the last 5 years.

Sorry for my ramble.
