Worst bands lists...

jog_on_tom [Edit] [Delete] 01:58, 14 January '07

Neck on the line time.

Whilst I'm fully aware that this is near entirely subjective... sometimes I'm amazed by the level of indie snobbery around (see post entitled 'Top ten favourite bands and top ten worst bands').

Is it not clear that the 'worst' bands are those that remain ridgidley unprogressive throughout their careers (regardless of their quality)- bands like U2 / Oasis / Foo Fighters / RHCP / the Strokes / Ash / the Stones / Weezer / QOTSA etc.

Now, I know most people are probably not fans of everything Radiohead, the Fall, Dylan, Springsteen, the Clash, the Manics, Iggy Pop, New Order, (and now to an extent Muse, Primal Scream, and the Streets) have released throughout their careers (I know I'm not), but to me it's obvious who's fighting on our side.

nb. This is true for every band except the Ramones.

Yay oder nay?

The chip is now removed...

(First one to accuse me of inverted indie snobbery gets my copy of "Psychotic Reactions and Carbeurator Dung".)
