Record Shops

polko [Edit] [Delete] 01:18, 6 January '07

Do record shops have a place on the modern high street now the internet has started to dominate music sales? Silly question in many cities, I'm sure, but Doncaster has been reduced to only one shop...

I feel vaguely guilty about this, since I rarely shopped in Track, but then it's selection was tailored to the town - i.e. lots and lots of metal which isn't my thing. But then I have come across numerous gems in there, and the idea that HMV is the only record shop in town upsets me.

So, in provincial towns is an alternative record shop viable?
