Question re Gig Promoters outside of (but within reasonable travelling distance of) London

theguywithnousername [Edit] [Delete] 23:25, 4 January '07

Any recommendations of good promoters who are up for putting on an offbeat lyrically-interesting act in a kind of Nick Cave/Jarvis Cocker/Daniel Johnston style?

I'm keen to do more solo and band shows outside of London this year (largely 'cos of I don't want to gig in London more than once every couple of weeks but want to gig much regularly than that). Due to work restrictions n' stuff I'm limited in how far I can travel but am keen to do as many outside of London gigs as possible.

Unfortunately I don't know too much about the promoters outside of London and want to make sure I get good gigs (by which I don't necessarily mean ones with huge audiences or that I make a lot money out of but certainly ones that I find enjoyable enough for me to feel glad about having done afterwards).

Any suggestions?
