Lyrics Schmyrics

oceanRain [Edit] [Delete] 19:12, 19 December '06

Way back, in the golden age of music, their was a terrible band called Missing Persons. They had a big, er relatively big, hit called Walking In L.A. ...only half of everybody sang it "walking in a lake". hhehehe

Now, on American telly - blessed with 3 1/2 minutes of commercials for every 11 1/2 minutes of Desperate Housewives - there is one advert in particular that's sorta funny. In the background we have Rock The Casbah playing, "Shar-reee eee don't like it!" and visually we see our intrepid heroes singing along. Intrepid hero number1 finishes the chorus with "Lock the cashbox, lock the cashbox," when intrepid hero number2 steps in to correct his pal's error. "Stop the cat box, stop the cat box."

Intrepid hero number1 sees the error of his ways and the two buddies drive off singing, "Shar-reee eee don't like it! Stop the cat box, stop the cat box."

(Even if I could remember what the hell the ad purports to shill I wouldn't pass it along here. Bad form, eh?)

We've all done it! I seem to remember some of the most creative interpretations of Smells Like Teen Spirit lyrics.... anyway, you get the idea.
