Do The Maths!

oceanRain [Edit] [Delete] 20:52, 16 November '04
For you maths geeks out there (I know who you are!) I've got good news and I've got bad news. The bad news is you're gonna be a virgin till aged 32, and you've got 4 more years of those idiot jocks giving you wedgies. The good news is those same idiot jocks will become your employees and your beautiful wife to-be is just starting kindergarten.

Me? Was I a virgin till my early thirties? Oh, hell no! I's talking about matt.... ;-)

Seriously, now. I did a little of the maths. Songs from new discs averaged about 95 cents; used CDs, 69 cents. All said and done, new and used CDs, cost me about 84 cents per song. About 52p/song, I believe. So my question is how much does downloading off the net cost per song? My guess is other than the freedom of picking and choosing individual tracks, it's probably cheaper just to buy the discs, right?
