Alternate thread title: Is there a dentist in the house?

I's fashionable late. I usually like to see all the bands that play if for no other reason, to speak from relative confidence when I'm slagging them. But what I didn't get were the several hundred Mars Volta fans LEAVING after their set. Even if you're not a big Pixies fan, it seems to me to be the equivalent of walking out of a Rolling Stones show. Yeah, Sir Francis is old and fat and bald... and guess what? They're the fucking Pixies, idiots! And btw, they were ace.

Since I'm the hypocrite here, I did want to hear what MV fans had to say. "Oh, the singer is great. Put the microphone stand between his teeth...." And nary a word about the music. Style over substance, just as I presumed! ;-)
