On the Radio
The reason we still listen to the radio (and hang on DiS) is to hear new stuff. And old fav's too, of course.
What's currently on the radio 1) you've now heard and love? 2) you've now heard and can't stand?? 3) yer old fav's???
1) This is going back a few months, but the first time I heard Maps I was hooked on Karen O. Unfortunately, the rest of the album doesn't quite measure up. Had to wait for Interpol's Antics till it came out about a week ago. The radio gave me Slow Hands first.
2) The Chris Martin mellow chorus to the other guy's rap thing. Awful. Jet's Hold On is pretty bad. I'm usually in Courtney Love's corner, but not this time. Her new single is less-than.
3) Old fav's? Heard the Dandy's You Were the Last High. Also the old glam stuff is cool. Ziggy, T-Rex, VU is fun. Buzzcock's Automaton rocks. Heard all these guys this morning taking the long way to work. ;-)
