my band played for the worst promoter ever this weekend...so i thought i'd have a rant about it! i know we should be happy to play gigs and stuff, but i think i have good reason to be annoyed at this particular promoter

there were fuck all people there because the promoter didn't do any promotion. (he expected the bands to do it all, although we did get some people thru the door)

he didn't hire hire a PA or any mics, so one of the local bands had to go home and bring their small PA

There were no drum mics so they could barley be heard

the promoter didn't tell anyone stage times or when they're on stage or make any effort to let anyone know

he hired his friend as secuirty and they were a joke, body searching people every time the re entered the building even tho they could see what they were doing

he put stage lights in the middle of the stage for the bands to trip over

he said we'd get paid they refused to pay us and tried to blame it and the bad turn out entierly on one band which was unfair considering that was the band who brought the PA and saved the night for him

then i pointed out the fact he didn't promote it at all and its not our fault he can't promote, so he threatened me

...

worst promoter ever! don't play for epical production they're a waste of effort
