Nottingham: Pifco & I Had An Inkling

dave_rio [Edit] [Delete] 15:01, 8 May '06

Good Name for a Racehorse & The High Society presents:

PIFCO

Hailing from Leeds and tapping into the inherent intensity of the two-piece line-up (drums + Rickenbacker), Pifco relocate The Fall to Washington DC and generate something greater than the sum of its already impressive parts.

I HAD AN INKLING

You know how all those trendy bands try and sound like Wire, The Pop Group et al but ignore all the bits that made those bands so great in the first place? I Had an Inkling arent one of those groups. Because though their influences lie with post-punk/funk experimentation, they arent afraid to carry on where others left off. With math and noise wigouts aplenty, theyre here to reclaim the future for you!

THE HOLY AWESOME

Nin!ten!do! Hella reimagined by Mario and Luigi. Gameboy, drums and an army of toy instruments.

Raffles Art Cafe (above Clinton's Cards, next to the Bell Inn)
