NEBRASKA
SCANNERS
CABLE STREET SPY CLUB
advance tickets: www.wegottickets.com/event/9933

NEBRASKA are dramatic, poetic and anthemic, combining modernity and classicism and packing a hard punch with a velvet glove. The iconic guitar sound of Nebraska's guitar hero Ben and the intelligent lyrics in Michael's 40-a-day choirboy voice weave with washes of wonderful other-worldliness over smooth running bass. Nebraska deliver the three minute pop song and seven minute epic with the same level of passion.

SCANNERS have, since March 2005, toured with The Wedding Present, The Fever, Presidents of the USA, and supported The Bravery, Electric Six and Julliette Lewis and The Licks. Their debut single 'Raw' (Motel Records) was played on Radio 1 and Xfm. Their debut album is due out on DimMak (Bloc Party, The Rakes) in summer 2006, while World Domination League's very own label, Tigertrap, releases the band's second single, 'Low Life', at the start of June. Various press quotes say: 'Like an anti-Magic Numbers - this two boy, two girl outfit cut switchblade-like through the bon-homie.. With punching bass lines and tribal drums they roar with gutteral fury... Their infectious tunes are both beautiful and dark as well as upbeat... crystalline harmonies... brooding Mazzy Star-like epics... deathlessly sexy electronic pop...'

CABLE STREET SPY CLUB are four disco-rock urchins – Gary, Jon, Leon and Martin. The right band in the right place at the right time, they offer a bit of rock for the dance kids, and a bit of dance for the rock kids. CSSC has been a long time in the making due to the marriages of the bassist and singer, but they are finally bubbling onto the London music scene. Love them or hate them - with heel-clickingly catchy hits, they probably don't give two fucks what you think.
