Elephant Micah is mostly Joseph Martin O'Connell (with the assistance of friends) and his low-key, lo-fi songs of hurt sound as focused in their pain as a beam of sunlight through a magnifying glass. Softly strummed guitars, banjos and mottled percussion swirl around O'Connell's gorgeously soft vocals. Recommended for people with open minds, patience and an appreciation of quiet melody. he was last seen in Mcr. as a guest of Magnolia Electric Co., which is fitting as if you like Secretly Canadian and Jaguwar stuff then you'll find Elephant Micah to be a treat.
