misscoo [Edit] [Delete] 16:19, 12 June '12

Coo is teaming up with The Big Ten Inch to bring you a very unique London Summer extravaganza!
Retro lovin' fans of rockin' club night in Oxford and London- 'The Big Ten Inch', featuring London's top notch skiffle act The Severed Limb, all greasey quiffs and high waistbands and Oxford's finest Big Band dandies, The Original Rabbit Foot Spasm Band- should be tempted out in London next week to catch the rock'n'roll takeover of a vintage Victorian Spiegeltent at the South Bank!! Skiffle, rhythm and blues, 20s and 30s jazz, hand-clap and misbehavior - authentic outfits and serious jive talkin- live bands, DJs and all the fun of the fair.

This summer the Southbank Centre and Underbelly (creators of the Udderbelly Festival) present The Priceless London Wonderground Festival, bringing a taste of 20th-century Coney Island to London’s South Bank with a series of freakshows, music, cabaret, and circus.
At the centre of the festival will be a 600-capacity original Victorian Spiegeltent .. and on Monday 18th June - that’s where you’ll find Coo and The Big Ten Inch, with a colourful carpet bag of musical tricks and oddities – in Jubilee Gardens under the London Eye!

THE SEVERED LIMB

South London skifflers The Severed Limb take on rock n roll, ska, cumbia, country, rockabilly and gypsy and give it an authentic homespun sound, evoking the 50?s beat of Lonnie Donegan and the jug bands of 1920s Chicago.
"Storming!" The Independent
"Rampant and joyful ... an infectious mix of rock and roll styles playfully twisted for 2011" Steve Lamacq
"The best skiffle band in the world!" Gaz Mayall

THE ORIGINAL RABBIT FOOT SPASM BAND
www.rabbitjazz.co.uk
The Original Rabbit Foot Spasm Band play Jumping Jazz and Red Hot Rhythm and Blues Music and have become notorious in their native Oxford and further afield, after triumphant sets at Glastonbury, Bestival and beyond. Expect rawkus singalongs, laughter, bad tap dancing, a song about Domestos, kazoo solos and authentic, prohibition style, serious drinking.
"The authentic sound of New Orleans. Possibly during the hurricane." Nightshift

COUNT SKYLARKIN
www.bigteninch.co.uk
The Big Ten Inch creator, curator and deadly creature, Count Skylarkin hosts and spins killer vintage 45s between the acts. You can also catch The Count and The Big Ten Inch at The Book Club in Shoreditch on the last Saturday of every month.
"THE best rock n roll and r'n'b night out there... the perfect opportunity to misbehave... the mother of all messy nights" spoonfed
