THURSDAY 15TH APRIL- Amida w/Puzzle + The Graveyard Shift @ The Bay Horse, Manchester- voluntary donation

jarock87 [Edit] [Delete] 22:37, 12 April '10

BabyBoom Records and Free For Arts Festival return again after two previously successful gigs to bring you an evening of trans-Northwestern indie-pop. Stalwarts from both the Manchester and Liverpool DIY scenes colliding on the same bill amidst our now accustomed crowd interactive art goings on: feeling inspired? Then grab yourself a crayon and contribute to the aesthetic of the night!

AMIDA- http://www.myspace.com/amidaband

Our headliners tonight have been beavering away behind closed doors since last year's 'If The Wave Loves Two Suns' EP, so it's rather lovely to announce they'll be breaking cover to showcase their infectious brand of twee-pop on the live scene once more.

"a masterclass in sun-flecked, Pixies-inspired pop economy"- Manchester Evening News

PUZZLE- http://www.myspace.com/puzzlepuzzle

Like Amida, Liverpool four-piece Puzzle have been bubbling underneath the surface since an EP release last year- the well-received 'Patterns We Left'. With a style that compliments the headliners perfectly, we thought it'd be foolish not to try and get the Merseyside indie-poppers on the same bill. So you know what? We did.

"Liverpool's Puzzle recreate the jingly jangly indie guitar pop of the early 90s."- Sandman

THE GRAVEYARD SHIFT- http://www.myspace.com/itsthegraveyardshift

So new that the 15th will be only their second ever gig, The Graveyard Shift are a prodigiously exciting four-piece keen on frenzied blues-tinged garage rock. Judging by their Myspace demos, we're in a for a right old raucous start. Definitely ones to get down early for.

BabyBoom DJs on hand throughout the evening with a myriad of various tunes. Doors are at 7:30pm again and it remains a VOLUNTARY DONATION ENTRY FEE, which makes this whole shebang pretty darn tempting, no?
