The Sailplanes play STA all-dayer after party SAT

timhulio [Edit] [Delete] 13:03, 16 September '05
Hello,
we love playing all the little talent-show gigs. You know the sort, a folky Blunt-esque troubadour followed by some beery Oasis lads then an 80s nathan barley disco mash-up of glitchy beats and transformers visuals. However, this Saturday we're playing a show actually put together with some thought by those great folks at Smalltown America records. This means- good bands! So you're guaranteed an entire evening of entertaining noise rather than just that emanating from us Sailplanes... well I'm excited.
It's the aftershow party for their all-dayer at 93 Feet East, so check that out too if you've a day to spend soaking up some great rock.
Entry to the after party is free, but a donation is highly recommended as it's for charity.
Details: www.smalltownamerica.co.uk
We're onstage about 9.30-10.30 ish, but this is liable to change, so get down early to avoid disappointment.

Venue Address:
The Spread Eagle

London
E2 8DA

Doors:
8.30pm till late

First Band On:
8:50pm

Entry: Free to Alldayer #2 wristband holders (and free to everyone else for that matter!)

The Sailplanes:
Soon to be PSB#7'ers The Sailplanes recall Sonic Youth, Sleater Kinney and Electrelane in equal and beautiful measures.

Fickle Public:
Rough Trade pop combined with Dischord math-punk.

Paper Cuts:
Power pop punk rock hyperactive West Londoners with a sound in the line of At The Drive-In, The Buzzcocks and Talking Heads.

You're Smiling Now But We'll All Turn Into Demons:
Southampton three-piece on Jazzbeard Records summing Raw-Power era Stooges with The Icarus Line.

hope to see you down there,
Tim sailplane
