Saturday 30th January - THE PLAYGROUND

MINIFEST OF MARVELLOUS MADNESS, one of Top 3 London events, as per The Guardian this week. Doors 7pm for bands, clubbing until 4am.

The Playground is rightly described as “A Studio 54 for the 21st century”. It’s a punky, dressed up extravaganza captured on film. This episode stars tipped Bands For The Decade With No Name – the event to experience in what is set to be a great year for 21st century rock:

<< ROGUES- Alternative/ pop- giving math rock and new rave a pop makeover. Reminiscent of the Klaxons and Foals with interesting time signatures and having supported Iglu and Hartley on their UK Tour 2010 looks bright for the five-piece.

OFFICER KICKS (11pm)Britrock with praised debut LP; The Six Grand Plot, triumphs at Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Bestival etc fests including main stage in UK/Europe, a record deal, In The City, Virgin TV, Q Mag acclaim, Juliette Lewis tour. They kick off 2010 w/TV play (Soccer AM) and new album; Citywide Curfew in April
