Temperatures

One of the few perfect storms in UK music. Rattling free percussion, kraut grooves, gurgling synth oscillations and spider-fingered murky bass fuzz. One of Thurston Moore's favourites.

Rick Jensen Trio

This restless New Zealand-via-London saxophone/electronics improviser and photographer balances numerous projects (including The Insect Explosion, Nova Scotia, I-C-E and The Radioactive Ensemble). Personnel: unknown. Sounds: unknown. Likely methodology: highly focused improvisation, intricate interplay, delicate timbral matching, all made to look effortless.

Hunting Lodge

Damaged art-funk, unreeled folk spatters, terrible repetitive dirges, attention seeking nudity covering for a lack of talent. Dan Chandler lied and said they were a Bristol band. They're actually from Totton. Who knows who will be singing for them?

No Context

They say: Improvising electronic ensemble featuring specialists in microsound, live sampling, drone, home-made electronic devices and spectral manipulation, producing chthonic soundscapes for the head. We say: their attention to detail, placement and timbre are reminiscent of Polwechsel, while their haunted imaginary spaces are evocative of Mike Nelson's creepy installations.

Baku Bankai

Akin to being pummelled by Kokuj? Tengen My?'? according to Katen Ky?kotsu's capriciously playful rules within Suzumushi's horrifying Enma K?rogi null-space.
