Xbox Reverb Gigs!!

XboxReverb [Edit] [Delete] 12:51, 17 September '09

Autumn brings a lot of things – interestingly coloured leaves, the return from summer retirement of everyone’s favourite jumpers, and this time around, a series of particularly exciting gigs.

Xbox Reverb is a series of shows where the onus is on the audience to give their favourite bands a hand in getting a pretty stellar gig sorted. Through hitting them up on Facebook and Twitter, fans get the chance to stick their oar in on all sorts of topics – everything from DJing on the night and designing the gig’s poster to suggesting weird and wonderful venues and more. At the gig, you’ll get your wrist slapped with an interactive wristband giving you the chance to post live tweets, comments, Facebook status updates and have your photo taken throughout the night... In essence, there’ll be all sorts going on.

But, most importantly, one of said goings on will be some MUSIC, kicking off with Glasgow’s finest - self proclaimed fight-popsters Dananananaykroyd - headlining a secret show in the Midlands paradise of Birmingham on September 29th in an as yet undisclosed venue. As for all the Xbox Reverb gigs, entry is for Xbox Reverb members only – getting over to www.xbox.com/reverb and getting involved would be the best way of ensuring you’re one of them.

As part of the run up, the band are asking their fans to submit Spotify playlists their way, the author of the one they deem the finest being granted some VIP passes to the gig and the honour of DJing the winning list to the assembled throng. Further entertainment on the night will come from support acts selected by the band themselves, offering a fine insight in to what one of the country’s best bands count as their own personal obsessions. Chances of it kicking off are immeasurably high.
