In a time when there are so many bands jostling for the attention of the music buying public, The Fiery Furnaces have garnered quite a reputation for setting themselves apart from their piers in rock music. Whether it be featuring their grandmother on vocals (Rehearsing my Choir, 2005) or referencing Egyptian grammar and Navajo basketball coaches (Widow City, 2007) they're unusual to say the least.

Their last record I'm Going Away (released 24th August) might have been a more straight forward affair, but in no way are they are letting things slip as they embark on a string of interesting and unusual endeavours that only The Fiery Furnaces could ever come up with!
