The mighty mighty The Rifle Volunteer this Friday

Nothing to do with The Mighty Mighty Bosstones.

Peace In The City presents a night of stunningly marvellous live music plus DJs after til 4am.

"Two great singles...kicking up a fiery blues storm reminiscent of The Black Keys fronted by a blonde beauty rather than a bearded blokey"
John Kennedy XFM
"This is absolutely brilliant, single of the month so far. It's proper broken heart music. It's the most ballsy and dangerous song we've listened to. a good, old-fashioned whiskey-soaked swagger. What a fcking voice 9/10"

Mining a vein of macabre pop the band take dark melodies, brooding vocals and a lyrical strain that hints at the story telling more often found in traditional folk music. More a reinterpretation through song than the introspective cynicism so closely associated with modern alternative music.

These journeying hairy folk try to reconcile celestial heavenly sounds with escalating reverberating ground music. They are, they will and they have been; lose yourself in this music and you'll find something rather special.

Progressively post punk with Interpol tendencies.

solo acoustic set from Mirrorkicks guitarist/singer traverses emotional limbo to triumph equally with an almost disney singalong quality
