We're very pleased to announce that our guest DJ at the Phoenix this Saturday is Gary Day, who played bass in Morrissey's band, and played on "Your Arsenal", "You Are The Quarry" and "Ringleader Of The Tormentors". He's also played in a host of cool rockabilly bands, and we're hoping he'll be bringing a bit of rock'n'roll with him on Saturday night.

Indie song of the week: "Henry Rollins Don't Dance" by Allo Darlin'. We've played this twice at HDIF now and it's gone down a storm both times. An irresistible dancer in the vein of "Friday Night At The Drive-In Bingo", we reckon this is shaping up to be HDIF's single of the year.
Soul song of the week: "Hound Dog" by Big Mama Thornton. We meant to play this at the last one, but the moment never came. We'll definitely play this big-throated, gospel'n'roll rendition (the original!) of the song made famous by Elvis this time around.

We've also got a bunch of Butcher Boy, Cats On Fire and Pocketbooks radio promos to give away. They're simple one track promos that went out to radio and press, which some jokers have been selling for silly money on ebay. Come and pick one up for free and flood the market! They'll be on the door as you come in.
