THE UNBENDING TREES RETURN TO LONDON TO PREVIEW NEW SONGS IN A HEADLINE SHOW AT BUSH HALL ON WED AUG 19.

Budapest's luminescent and gothic chamber pop trio, The Unbending Trees, return to London to showcase new songs from their upcoming second album in the lush confines of The Bush Hall in west London.

Their debut album, 'Chemically Happy (Is The New Sad') on Ben Watt's indie imprint, Strange Feeling Records, received hot reviews last autumn ('Utterly beguiling' / The Guardian. 'The understated, poetic beauty of their music is deserving of a wider audience.' / Q. 'Hottest Downloads' / The Sunday Times. 'Raw, real, sensitive, cold and lonely. Brutal and beautiful.' / Kruger Mag). The album's single 'Overture' featuring the vocals of Tracey Thorn, was championed by 6Music's Gideon Coe, who also broadcasted a session from the band.

After a period of acclaim in their home country of Hungary, they are back in the UK road-testing new material and presenting established tracks from the debut to their ever-expanding audience.

The band will also be selling a limited edition (tragi-)'comic' by London illustrator, Howard J Hadiman, based on selected album lyrics. Support from young British singer-songwriter Owen Duff.
