RED OR BLACK
A band comprised of 5 friends with a lust for music; eat it, sleep it, live it, love it! Formed by Woz Lang, the band have been together since Feb '09. Band members have changed slightly, but the core have remained. The nameless band wrote and rehearsed songs with one rule....if it's not good enough, it doesn't go in! Woz started the recruitment when he asked Andy Lavery (formerly of The Sticks) to join on lead guitar. When singers were shortlisted, one was mentioned continually more than the others....Danimal became the next addition. With none of the band knowing any actual bass players, they came to the conclusion that a guitar player would be needed...introducing Whirlwind! The trickiest by far was the recruitment of a drummer. They made a bold move to get the brilliant Lee Summers (now Faker Junior) which paid off as they spent some quality sessions going through some songs. Unfortunately, due to prior commitments, Lee was no longer able to carry on the journey. Steve Keogh (Lee's Brother-in-law) came to see how we were getting on and after a suggestion of filling in on the drums, Red or Black was born. Their main drive is their passion for music and fusing together all of their influences, creating a sound that can only be described as 'Dirty Rock'n'Roll!'.

THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND
We are a new band with plenty of individual experience. Our music has a hint of rock, punk and indie from all over the world. Obviously you will need to make your own mind up as all members have different influences which bring various dynamics and contours to the singing, playing styles and songwriting in the band. We hail from Manchester which music and culture has definately shaped the band to what it is today. We have played many shows from Glastonbury to Droylsden; Manchester Academy to The Labour Club.
