Not Squares (Richter collective)

Belfast’s Not Squares sound like the child of Kraftwerk and Shellac. Duelling live bass guitars collide with frantic percussion, piercing synths, and four way vocals, which within 6 months has seen them rise to be considered one of the Country’s most exciting new acts. However, obviously not content with notoriety on their doorstep, Not Squares have consistently ventured far afield to find new stages for their sound, and look forward to scheduled appearances across the UK, including a slot at the coveted Latitude festival in Suffolk.

Now boasting twice their original weight in the guitar department, they have spent the last 6 months touring the UK almost constantly, and have carved out a unique sound and a live act which is both ferocious and clinically precise.

Alright the Captain

Alright The Captain write what comes naturally in the rehearsal room, culminating in a weird mix of musical styling with an elusive sound that ranges from the down right strange and dirty to melodic day dreams that spiral into insanity. In the short space of time the Captain’s been together they’ve shared the stage with great bands like Mono, Zu, Amusement parks on Fire, Maybeshewill, And so I watch you from afar,Adebisi Shank, Jeniferever and many more all over the UK and Ireland.

“Experimental rock, which bursts from trippy melodic surf to ‘all guns blazing’ progressive and aggressive rock in moments!” - The maze
