Picture Books in Winter are an indie band from Cardiff who combine post-punk guitars with folky violin parts. Known for their erratic live performances, the last year has seen PBIW support the likes of Dananananakroyd, Frightened Rabbit, Tubelord, So So Modern, Anathallo, Micachu and The Young Knives. They made their festival debut playing the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury 2008.

Wistfully uniting dark melodies, poetic lyrics, brooding vocals and group harmonies, the band produce an intense brand of pop which reflects their current musical standpoint as well as their vision for the future.

MONSTER BOBBY (THE PIPETTES)

Monster Bobby can usually be found writing songs for and playing in The Pipettes. He takes time out from his day job to come and show-off some lovely electro-acoustic tunes for us.
