Following the success of her sold out debut single Another Version Of Pop Song, ex Pipettes lead singer Rose Elinor Dougall has announced the release of her next single.

Start/Stop/Synchro will be released on limited, coloured vinyl by Elefant Records (Camera Obscura, Au Revoir Simone, Trembling Blue Stars, The School, Speedmarket Avenue...) on June 8th 2009 (which is the same day as this gig). Again produced and fleshed out by Rose along with producer Lee Baker in his Brighton studio, Start/Stop/Synchro is taken from Rose’s almost completed, upcoming debut album, ‘Without Why’.

The Brian Jacket Letdown:
The album launch party for their debut album 'Darling Bit Me'.

Much of their music is as simply infectious as the best – what? It's hard to know what to call it. If it's pop, it couldn't be less "manufactured"; they seem to stumble across their lush melodies and haphazardly throw together their lavish arrangements, like a ramshackle folk band playing perfect pop or a rickety jug band drunkenly negotiating a modern recording studio and accidentally achieving a shiny immaculacy.

Gigwise: "a gorgeous dali-dripping-chocolate of the sweetly surreal"

Drowned in Sound: "Do not expect this to be the last you'll hear of them"

Disorder Magazine: "a quite mesmerising charm offensive"

Trash Hits: "you can't help but wonder why they aren't all over the radio"

National Club

National Club formed in London by children of the 80's, and are inspired by such heroes as Cohen and Lennon, and make music that sounds good .

National Club are an upcoming band to really watch out for. Their inspired epic indie sound have already earned them a feature on the 'Best of MySpace' iCast and fans at The Guardian. Hear them preview new material from their forthcoming release - not to be missed.

'Its the Concretes meet The Pixies on Love Island' - BBC Music.
