The Whole Schebang was formed by Mike and Pete, two guitarists with a shared love of off-kilter pop songs and backdrops of vocal harmonies. Following lo-fi beginnings in noisy London pubs expansion soon beckoned... three more hearty singers and all-round musical folk (Dayo, Laura and Stu) joined the band so the songs could wander wherever they needed to.

They enjoy using a range of accompanying sounds, from flugelhorn and banjo to the delicate wheezing of a midget accordion. On record they've called on the wider schebang family and squeezed in a string section, a cornet and a synthesizer too. As a five-piece they're currently sewing their folkpop seeds live, playing songs from their brand new EP 'Stranger than the Weather'. If you like rousing acappela singing, full harmonies and fresh lyrical flourishes then they might just be a band for you...
