Fuzz Club, Sheffield, 11/12 - Gravenhurst + Urgent Talk

ega03sj [Edit] [Delete] 14:09, 8 December '08

Hey Gang,

GRAVENHURST
Bristol based Nick Talbot is a man with musical vision, signed to Warp, he is a multi-instrumentalist in line with said local label's long beloved history of genre-defining/refining music. Traversing alt.folk, shoegaze and ambitious ambient rock, taking in influences as wide as My Bloody Valentine to Simon and Garfunkel, recording covers of work by Fairport Convention through to Husker Du.
Nick's music has featured in Shane Meadows' films, cementing a South Yorkshire connection.
A live show that promises to be bombastic, loud and pretty impressive.

URGENT TALK
Local 3 piece who dabble in minimal electronic pop, out of the ashes of Heart:Yeah. Human hands have never made Gameboys sound so beautiful, certainly in this context.
New stuff is expected in January at all good record shops, and some bad ones.

Plus
BADABING in FUZZ playing all things indie-pop, eclectic and electric.
JIMM in BLEACH playing all things rock, emo, punk, ska and hardcore.

£4 advance, £4.50 door
Non-NUS Welcome
10 while 2

I'l (S.Jenkins)l see you there!
