I saw Anni Rossi at the beginning of 2008 and was quite simply blown away - just her voice and her viola are present, but she writes and performs such inventive, heartfelt songs that encompass the very very very best bits of lo-fi, pop, folk, singer-songwriter and leftfield invention.
