fabriclive [Edit] [Delete] 19:58, 16 September '08

Part 1:

Regarded as one of the most important figures on the UK dance scene Greg Wilson (who enjoyed residencies at the Hacienda, the Wigan Pier and Legend in the early eighties) was instrumental in breaking the new electronic, post-disco records coming out of New York, a sound he dubbed ‘Electro-Funk’.

Part 2:

Greg Wilson pays homage to the sounds of Desmond Dekker, Sly and the Family Stone, T Rex and Lou Reed amongst others. Greg discusses his love for the Motown sound and other crucial records that informed a career spanning 25 years.
