End of the Road Festival and The Local will be hosting another marvelous show of musical talent on Wednesday 25th June at the beautiful Bush Hall featuring:

BRAKES + THE CAVE SINGERS + FIREWORKS NIGHT

We welcome back BRAKES, four familiar and popular faces to End of the Road festival goers. Hailing from Brighton, signed to Rough Trade, what they cut down on in song length they make up for in energy and passion and melodic-pop/ country-punk hooks.

"(Second album) The Beatific Visions is the shimmy at the end of the world, wide-eyed and wild as it should be" - Pitchfork

THE CAVE SINGERS are a three piece from Seattle who although sharing the greatest love for bands such as Pixies and The Replacements, have fortunately found the talent for producing sparse, chilling, yet alluring folk with rough hymnal vocals. With their debut album out on Matador Records, they’re making huge tsunami-like waves in their home town and worldwide in the new indie-rock-folk music revolution.

FIREWORKS NIGHT will be opening proceedings, who after years of swapping instruments, band members, and releasing two excellent albums, they have settled as a folk/Americana/off-kilter-pop six-piece. Not settled down in a mundane sense we add - violins and violas are frantically bowed, pianos are tenderly caressed and at times, all six sing in ethereal harmony.

Doors open at 7:30pm - get your tickets before they're gone - £9 in advance (£10 on the door) from http://www.wegottickets.com/thelocal

We can’t wait, see you down the front!
