JOSH T. PEARSON (USA)
We are delighted to welcome JOSH T PEARSON, former leader of testifying Texan outfit Lift To Experience,

whose landmark album release, the Texas Jerusalem Crossroads, should be a lynchpin in the collection of

any wide-eyed wanderer in the landscape of musical innovation. After the band split, Josh retreated to

the remote deserts of his homeland, eventually emerging again with some stunning new solo material. A

true enigma, he inspires awe and devotion in his following and has converted a multitude of new

believers on his recent European travels, performing at 2007’s All Tomorrow’s Parties amongst many

others. We hear the train a-comin’. Miss this night and regret it forever.

THE LOVELY EGGS (LANCASTER)
Deliciously lo fi, THE LOVELY EGGS are one of Lancaster's most promising bands having already been

played on BBC6 and in New York and the Netherlands. Not surprising really as these guys have form. Dave

on the drums also plays for 3D tanx, and Holly is once of former indie darlings Angelica. Their overall

overall sound is melodic, sometimes lo-fi, indie rock with occasional bursts of angry discordance.

Influences include The Velvet Underground, Daniel Johnston, Sonic Youth, Scout Niblett, the Brian

Jonestown Massacre, The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers,

Pavement, Stereolab, and Moldy Peaches.

PACIFIC OCEAN FIRE are a Leicester four piece plotting a successful indie/americana course all the way

to the States, where they are signed to Azra Records.

GOLDEN DISKO SHIP (GERMANY)
GOLDEN DISKO SHIP (24 year old Theresa Stroetges) is a Berlin based musician named after a golden ship

found forever waiting for the party in the harbour of Reyjkavík. She combines a mass of instruments and

found objects (guitars, viola, glockenspiel, sticky tape, compact disc cases, toys…) together with

perfectly crafted laptop electronica to form a world of beautiful, original and individual music -

“…dreamy, experimental folk electronica that sounds like walking on the beach with the sun in your

eyes.".

Her live show brings together the fragile beauty of her recordings, combined with a complete

understanding of avant-garde pop as you would expect from her list of influences: Coco Rosie, Múm, Cat

Power, Four Tet, Scout Niblett… Theresa emphasises the effect of her live show with her atmospheric

self-made pixelated video projections.
