Homefires, the celebrated London-based acoustic festival, takes to the road for the first time and arrives in Brighton at Kemp Town’s atmopheric Georgian Church. Featuring former Fridge bassist and torch-holder for the twisted folk scene, Adem with his tales of everyday and the universal, Fat Cat’s accomplished musician, songwriter and performer of gothic lullabies Nina Nastasia who provides an antidote to a generation-plus of young troubadours who pine for things they never had to lose. Richard Swift creates his lofi, sepia tone style, harking back to tin pan alley, plus to complete the line-up, openers Elysian Quartet embrace classical, contemporary and electronic pieces
