EARWAX RADIO - The Live Sessions hit New Cross Inn from May 27th
Keep an eye and ear on http://www.wax-music.com for the bill.

Click "Down In Albany" on their podmatic link at http://myspace.com/earwaxradio for the latest broadcast (scroll down for fuller details of that)

Once Upon Another Time there was a home made radio show that broadcast from the Planet's Time zone...

"Rocklands even has its own semi-official podcasting radio station, Earwax, which performs all the rabble-rousing, word-spreading, tune-disseminating duties you’d have wanted from pirate radio once upon a time". (Time Out Magazine). Earwax helps recommended bands get their music and thoughts heard. Andy and Jamie's broadcast is already the stuff of legend. They champion, interview and session alternative stars. It's an on-line drop in to catch up on what's happening underground before it goes overground and has subscribers world wide.

Their popularity exploded with their Artful Broadcast in October 005 and when Earwax launched their first podcast (Feb-006) it was highly over subscribed and crashed the system! Their fan base helped host station, TGR Sound, win an FM license at the end of last year. TGR then tried to mould their golden egg laying goose into something a little more Alan-Partridge-local-radio-style, so Jamie and Andy quit, on air, a few months ago. Who said the spirit of punk was dead?

It meant an end to those fab live sessions that they do so well. They went looking for a new home. Step in New Cross Inn (the "CBGBs of SE14 mark II"), an art house boozer run by an artist and a photographer, about to throw the biggest love, peace, unity and fun party EVER seen in the shape of Little Nan Jo Jo Loves... on 5 May (in honour of the bar's mysterious old lady resident that loves to rock'n'roll). Earwax Radio will, of course, be there then return with their own event on 27 May

Prior to The Earwax Sessions check the latest podcast: "Down In Albany", which features The New Cross/New York section proving popular with Earwax subscribers both sides of the Atllantic. There's news of new art and graphics collective, 13:53 magazine, a preview of the Little Nan Jo Jo Loves... festival with tunes from Look See Proof, The Fairies, Mama Shamone and a chat with Kate and Tristan of New Cross Inn. Music from The Sha La Las, and Birmingham's Attica State as well as loads at Deptford's Albany Theatre; The Digital Fusion City Showcase (Charly Brown) and The Live In Rocklands event (music and interviews from from The Berlin Girls, Dexy, Seeing Scarlet, Blah Blah Blah and The Rocks)
