Thee More Shallows:

San Francisco dwelling near-orchestral post-pop trio

return to bless our shores this april, touring their 3rd album: the 'Book of Bad Breaks' (released On Anticon records).

This band produce an almost Donnie Darko like-intense, sad, higher powered beauty. Borderline genius and unlike anything else around.

"This is a thing of impossible beauty -- sweet, fierce, fragile, funny, heavy, strangely skewed and independently-minded...Ralph Vaughan Williams and Tortoise,

"kissed by neo-classical grace and grazed by white noise. It's goddamned gorgeous." -- Time Out London, on the More Deep Cuts LP.

"Fuelled by an excess of imagination and dizzying noise assault. More Deep Cuts is a remarkable, mercurial

masterpiece." -- 8/10, Rock Sound

Michael L Clamp: Main man of Lazarus Clamp performs a rare solo set, but even unaided and on acoustic he still does irascible as scary as Albini and Alt. Folk-Pop as pretty The Go Betweens.

Middlesborough born Michael has been recording and gigging since 93, and has recorded 4 albums, played SXSW in 2001 (before it was deemed cool), toured with Giant Sand, supported Laura Cantrell, Cat Power, Chris Brokaw, Come, Karate, The New Year, Richard Buckner, Arthur J Clamp etc and is now one of the most prolific and actually good songwriters in the UK.

"one of the minor, undiscovered, rough-cut gems of British independent music "-Drowned in Sound

Former Utopia- An actual East London born black humoured miserablist George Gargan is now counterbalanced with happy-minded Jo Albany on drums.

They are a genre hopping double act-playing post punk, ant anti folk, surf and quirky black humoured pop.

"Pretty and complex, melodic and intricate, fragile and full all at the same time" -Robots and Electric Brains.

"Bit of a corker if you ask me though"-Losing Today
