Peggy Sue and the Pirates:
The two beautiful front woman bring a mixture of blues and rockabilly up to date, playing their acoustic guitar like they’re ready to take on the world and in our opinion they are. With influences such as: Cat Power, The Gossip, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Regina Spektor, The Noisettes, Nina Simone, Billie Holdiay,
Dresdon Dolls, Hole, Holly Golightly and all the rest of our favourite girrrl bands.

Two Essex boys create an amusing skiffley, punky, ‘nu-jazz’, pop sound for your listening pleasure. This is an acoustic set so there’ll be double bass and mini guitar fun to be had by all. Dancing is compulsory so get your best pair of DMs on.

According to this young man’s MySpace page he sounds like ‘champagne nihilism’ – we think he sounds like a beautifully sensitive young man from Camberwell who can play the acoustic guitar rather well. Intelligent lyrics, spoken quickly over pretty guitar strummings…

Nicky Biscuit:
If you like either of his other three bands Future and the Boy (feat. Eddie Argos a la Art Brut), Subliminal Girls or Video Club chances are you’re going to fucking hate this. You will however like him if you’re a fan of Lloyd Cole or any no longer popular 90s Brit-pop bands such as These Animal Men. There’s not a synthesiser in sight it’s just Mr Biscuit and his acoustic guitar.
