ROSALITA + DJ Do The Du

28 Costumes headline their first Kabarett Spielraum date, which is also their third gig at the Luminaire. Confused? We hope so. We're very pleased to have them headline such a special night with their brand of off-kilter guitar pop. "Frivolous, serious and totally genius." [Artrocker] "An engrossing journey... full of risks and ideas." [The Independent]; "A raging tempest... with the 'Epic' dial cranked up to 11." [Daily Star]; "Truly, this is a work of rare genius." [The Fly]; "A torrent of Pixies-esque guitar belligerence over swarthes of shimmering hooks. 28 Costumes have cemented themselves as a must-see." [NME]

Main support is from Cartridge, returning for a second visit with their effortless collage of rock, psychedelia and jazz. Their debut album 'Cases' is rapidly garnering acclaim as well as airplay on Radio 1: "Great fun...mixing up a heap of styles...Schizophrenic yes, but rewarding, energetic stuff." [Rough Trade Shops]

David Cronenberg's Wife is the brainchild of Stockport-born songwriter Tom Mayne. A mainstay in London's Antifolk scene, their songs range from the sweet to the disturbing. 'The best undiscovered band in the country...The observational skills of a novelist. The lo-fi 2 chord soul of rock 'n roll.' [Sgt Buzfuz]

Rosalita are a five piece band from Ipswich, aiming to make people dance with influences including Talking Heads, and The Stranglers. "Bafflingly unsigned, Rosalita...manage to squeeze more contemporary influences into 7 songs than Zane Lowe manages in an entire evening." [High Voltage]; "A great overall sound with the keyboards raising them above the standard indie-guitar fare dished up by others. Couldgo far?" [BBC]

Plus DJ Do The Du playing some favourites, old and new.
