This seems to have taken an eternity to arrive. Indeed, those familiar with London three-piece Silent Front will know these four tracks from the band's live shows. But, it's good to have them finally committed to a shiny plastic disc at last.

Whilst it's obvious from the outset that the trio have an affection for their Dischord box set, Silent Front aren't mere copycats. They're trying to twist and contort the DC sound into something else, into something that's theirs and theirs alone; 'Delete' isn't the finished product by a long way, but comprises the blueprints for what could, nay, should be a fantastic future. Picking one standout track would suggest that the other three are in some way weak, so I won't (they're not - this is a remarkably consistent EP), and as far as opening salvos go, this one is laced with a level of conviction and intent unheard of on similar releases.

Promising? You bet.
