Leaves

Race

Label: B-Unique Release Date: 06/05/2002

gdobson by Gareth Dobson April 25th, 2002

Leaves are from Reykjavik, and quite possibly have just heard about British Indie music circa 1996. A very exciting time for these people no doubt, but they didn’t have to go and reproduce a Mansun song, note-for-bloody-note. Just because Mansun left these sceptred isles years ago, doesn’t mean that we have forgotten what they sounded like. We simply chose not to buy their records anymore, and abandoned them like ginger step children around 1998. But hang on! Imagine how excited Leaves will be when they find out that Lord Damien Allbran was in Reykjavik recently! Proof that the Icelandic capital is simply not cool, despite what rich people may tell you.
