Malowski

The Resistance EP

Label: Release Date: 25/02/2002

bcapper by Beth Capper February 24th, 2002

When Sonic Youth *started out, being hardly able to play any instruments, its doubtful that they realised the influence they would have on music. Trail of Dead, Seafood, Placebo...they're no rip-offs. They take the elements that made Sonic Youth so good and distil it with their own originality. *Malowski *are no different, they represent an exciting hope in a music scene drowning in apathy. Politics, at the moment couldn't be worse, with Blairs cock stuck up Bush's ass '_as national health care bites the dust_'. But the youth don't want to know, every attempt to change things is basking in pointlessness. Thats why political music is so important at this time of dispondancy. The '_Resistance EP_' wants to be the voice of a generation of dissafected youth, its wants to be heard, it wants a change from the ebbings of social decay. These four abrasive hardfuck punk noise songs are evidence of the truth rearing its ugly head and no longer wanting to be ignored. Mash up Sonic youth, Fugazi and *iDLEWiLD *in a blender, screw the life out of a conservative society and you'll get *Malowski.
